Mr. Toni Stojanovski is Chief Corporate Officer, member of the Board of Directors since March, 2020. Chief Risk Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Stopanska Banka since 2010. Prior to joining the SB management team, he had successfully built his career at the National Bank of the RNM in key positions, including General Manager of the Division of Supervision, Banking Regulation and Financial Stability. Mr Stojanovski holds a Master's degree in economics in the field of monetary economics from the Faculty of Economics at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University - Skopje. Membership in other boards and organizations: Chairman of the Board of Directors of Macedonian Stock Exchange AD Skopje (since June 2020), Vice President of the Banking Association (since May 2016).

Sanel Kusturica is the Chairman of the Management Board of Sparkasse Bank AD Skopje, who has 23 years of experience in the banking sector, holding responsible positions in various banking institutions on the market in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Micro Enterprise Bank, Procredit Bank, UniCredit Zagrebachka Bank, HVB-Central Profit Bank, UniCredit Bank, as well as Sparkasse Bank AD BiH. G. Kusturica, since June 2009, has been a part of the Erste & Steiermärkische Sparkasse Group, and in the same year he was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sparkasse Bank AD BiH, performing this position until the beginning of 2021. At the beginning of 2021, Sanel Kusturica comes to Macedonia as a member of the Board of Directors of Sparkasse Bank AD Skopje, and immediately after the completion of the integration project and the merger with Ohridska banka, he is appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank, responsible for activities related to working with the population, marketing and product development. The rich professional experience of Mr. Kusturica is also supported by an exceptional formal education and a master's degree in business administration and international economics from the University of Delaware, United States of America.

Branko Greganović

Branko Greganović has more than 30 years of experience in the banking and corporate sector of the Slovenian, Austrian and Serbian markets, but also rich experience in the public sector, holding responsible positions in the Slovenian Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank. Branko Greganović took the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of NLB Banka Skopje, from NLB Banka Belgrade, where he was Chairman of the Executive Board for the past seven years. Branko Greganović has a bachelor's degree in economics and two defended master's theses, one in economics at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana, Slovenia and the other in management at the London Business School in London, Great Britain.

Maja Stevkova Sterieva

President of the Macedonian Banking Association

 

Dr. Maja Stevkova Shterieva started her career in Komercijalna banka in 1993 and until 2002 worked in various segments that allow rounding up her experience in banking operations, starting from the Department of Foreign Relations, Independent Officer in the Directorate of Assets and Liquidity, including the Service for work with securities. In 2002, she was appointed Director of the Directorate for Risk Management, and in 2005, Director of the Department for Risk Management and Planning. Since 2008, she has held the position of Chief Financial Officer and member of the Management Board. She received her education at the Faculty of Economics at the University of 'St. Kiril and Metodij' in Skopje, where in 2012 she became a doctor of science with a doctorate on 'Operational risk and corporate management in financial institutions'. Dr. Sterieva is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics at the American College Skopje, a lecturer at the Program for Risk Management and the Program for Credit Risk Management at the Academy of Banking and Information Technology, Skopje. She was President of the Board of the Academy for Banking and IT, and a Member of the Board of Chamber of Commerce of RM. At the moment she is President of the Macedonian Banking Association.

Economic and geopolitical shocks - what we know and what we don't know?

Velimir Šonje

Velimir Šonje was born in Zagreb, where he graduated from the Faculty of Economics, obtained a master's degree, and from 1990 to 1995 worked at the Institute of Economics in Zagreb. At that time, as an advisor to the Government, he participated in the team that designed the stabilization program that stopped hyperinflation in Croatia in 1993. From 1995 to 2000, he worked at the CNB as executive director of the research and statistics sector. From 2001 to 2002, he held the position of chairman of the supervisory board of the Raiffeisen company for the management of the mandatory pension fund, while from 2002 he became the chairman of the Supervisory Board of Raiffeisen Invest, the company for the management of investment funds. In the period from 2000 to 2003, he was also a member of the management board of Raiffeisenbank Austria d.d. Zagreb. In 2005, he became an advisor to the World Bank on several financial projects in the region of Southeast Europe. From 2008 to 2009, he held the position of president of the management board of ICF Invest, and in 2003 he founded the company Arhivanalitika, of which he is still the director.

Anže Predovnik

Anže Predovnik is current CEO of BSP Energy Exchange and one of Europe’s leading experts in the operation of the organized electricity market (PX market) at which electricity is traded. He has over 15 years of experience with the functioning of PX markets, with the electricity price formation and with the implementation of Market Coupling projects. His work in present position was primarily focused on the development of liquidity on Slovenian electricity exchange market and its integration with neighbouring markets via day-ahead and intraday Market Coupling projects into pan-European electricity market. In recent years he was also actively engaged in various knowledge transfer projects regarding the set-up of day-ahead, intraday, balancing and clearing models in the SEE and Black Sea region. Anže Predovnik graduated in 2007 from Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana with a BA in economics (International Exchange) and completed his master thesis in the field of economics (Banking and Financial Management) in 2014. In addition, he is an active member of various professional associations, including Europex and AFM, and skilled speaker at energy topics related conferences and other events.

Dragan Mijalkovski

Director, Steel Mill Plant, MAKSTIL AD Skopje

 

Dragan Mijalkovski completed his secondary education at the EMUC 'Nikola Tesla' secondary mechanical school - Skopje. In 1999 he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Skopje at the University 'St. Kiril and Metodij' Skopje, on the course of production engineering. At the same faculty in 2019, he completed the second cycle of studies and obtained the academic title of Master of Technical Sciences in the field of Mechanical Engineering. In 2002, he got a job at Makstil and worked as responsible engineer for technical problems. In the period from July 2006 until the end of 2016, he performed the duties of the Maintenance Director at the plant Čelicarnica . Since January 2017, he has been promoted to the position of director of the plant Čelicarnica within Makstil AD Skopje, which position he currently holds. He actively participated and led several important investment projects, which were realized in the Čelicarnica plant, and which were crucial for the progress of the plant and the company. He attended various consultations, workshops, seminars, trainings for improvement in the area of the profession and the positions of the workplaces for which he holds certificates. He is a member of the Chamber of Certified Architects and Engineers, where he holds the A authorizations for project revision, supervision and execution of construction in the field of mechanical engineering.

Risto Janevski

Director, Energy Planning and Development, OKTA AD Skopje

 

Dr. Risto Janevski is a graduate electrical engineer at the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius', who has been successfully building his professional career in OKTA AD Skopje since 1994. He worked as a director of logistics and customer service, and today he holds the position of director of strategic planning and development. He worked on several strategic projects: construction of LPG installations at several gas stations, re-branding of more than 30 private gas stations with OKTA colours, cleaning of the oil pipeline and its transformation into a product pipeline. In the last few years, he has been working on a new project in OKTA – Concept of distributed production of electricity from renewable sources and supply to end consumers. Janevski is part of the MANU team for the development of the Energy Development Strategy of North Macedonia until 2030. He is the author of numerous publications and over 40 scientific papers in the field of energy. He is the president of the Assembly of the Chamber of Commerce of North Macedonia and he is the president of the Energy Association at the Chamber.

Wouter is a founding partner of Steward Redqueen. He has almost 20 years of experience in the field of sustainability and impact management. He is an advisor to (multinational) companies and other organisations with a particular focus on the interaction between the corporate sector and society.Wouter studied law at Tilburg University (graduated in 1989). His education also includes Post graduate Master of Management and Organisation TIAS Business School (1998), Post graduate Master in Corporate Communication (Erasmus University/ RSM 2001) and the Management course for Non-Executive Board members (Erasmus University 2015. Chris Hodge is an independent advisor on governance and stewardship, currently working with the Institute of Directors (UK), Nestor Advisors and the Hawkamah Institute among others. Chris is an experienced policy-maker who has worked at the highest levels with business, investors, regulators, governments and international organizations, and has written and presented extensively on the topics of governance and stewardship. For ten years until 2014 Chris was Director of Corporate Governance at the UK’s Financial Reporting Council. He was responsible for developing and promoting the UK Corporate Governance Code, and for introducing the first national stewardship code in 2010. He is a former chair of the European Corporate Governance Codes Network and the Global Stewardship Codes Network and a former advisor to the Chartered Governance Institute.

Marko Čižmek graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb. He has qualified as a broker and investment advisor. He started his career in 1996 at the Croatian National Bank. He spent several years working in corporate finance at Investmentbank Austria and ICF. In the period from 2001 to 2004, he was a management board member at EURO Invest, an investment fund management company. Mr. Čižmek has held numerous managing positions at companies that have been merged to the present Valamar Riviera: he was management board member at Rabac d.d. (2004-2011), management board member at Dubrovnik-Babin kuk d.d. (2009-2013) and a management board member at Valamar Adria holding d.d. (2008-2013), general manager at Epima d.o.o. (2008-2014), supervisory board member at Zlatni otok d.d. (2002-2011) and Rabac d.d. (2000-2004). Mr. Čižmek started serving as Management Board Member at Valamar Riviera in 2011 where he is responsible for finances, accounting, the treasury, capital markets and investor relations, as well as information technology. He is also a management board member at the Croatian Association of Financial Analysts and the Croatian Association of Corporate Treasurers, and the deputy chairman of the supervisory board at Helios Faros d.d. since 2019.

Assoc. Prof. Moravenov is CEO at Bulgarian Stock Exchange and professional member of RICS (Royal Institute of Certified Valuers). He is a professor at VUZF - Sofia. He is the holder of the courses 'Electronic exchanges', 'Alternative investments' - Master's program, and holder of the course 'International real estate markets' to VUZF Bachelor program. Manyu Moravenov has more than 24 years of experience in the fields of finance and investment, the real estate market and capital markets. In recent years, he has been actively involved in the management of the loan portfolio and the creditworthiness of the companies, as well as managing the processes of the various sources of financing such as: IPO and equity financing, bond issuance, corporate loans and bank financing.

Hristo Hristov is an entrepreneur and investor, CEO of Darik Radio since September 2021. Hristo’s experience includes working as a journalist at BBC London and Darik Radio. He holds a Law degree from the Sofia University and is a mentor in several startup organisations. In 2005, Hristo founded a digital news site Dariknews, which later acquired Netinfo and thus created the biggest digital media company in Bulgaria. Hristo was the CEO of Netinfo, part of Nova Broadcasting Group, from 2013 to 2019. In this period, the company grew threefold by entering into new verticals and expanding the content offering. Hristo is an investor in various successful digital projects, such as Grabo.bg, ebag.bg, Broshura.bg. Attila Toth is working for EBRD as an Associate in the Capital Markets Development Team since 2018. He is specialized in equity capital market and capital market infrastructure development where he built up a 20-year experience. He started his career at the Hungarian Debt Management Agency in 1997 and joined the Budapest Stock Exchange in late 1999. During his 16-year career at the BSE he was responsible for business and product development, trading and post-trading. Between 2008 and 2016 he was the Deputy CEO of the stock exchange responsible for issuer and trading member relations, product development, trading and business strategy. He is an experienced lecturer having lectures on the Budapest Corvinus University and the Central-European Foundation for Broker-dealers. Attila Toth has a master’s degree in finance from Budapest Corvinus University.
